Trade Cryptos

A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency secured by cryptography, which makes it nearly impossible to counterfeit or double spend. Many cryptocurrencies are decentralized networks based on blockchain technology – a decentralized registry enforced by a distributed computer network. A defining characteristic of cryptocurrencies is that they are generally not issued by a central authority, making them theoretically immune to government interference or manipulation.

The first blockchain-based cryptocurrency was Bitcoin, which is still the most popular and valuable today. Now there are thousands of alternative cryptocurrencies with different functions and specifications. Some of them are clones or spin-offs of Bitcoin, while others are new currencies developed from scratch. At GBE brokers, we also offer you the opportunity to trade cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, DogeCoin, Ripple and many more on a CFD basis.

You don’t want to own your own coins? – CFDs are an elegant solution for this. A CFD (contract for difference) is a derivative that is linked to the price of a cryptocurrency: if the value of the currency rises, the value of your CFD increases; if, on the other hand, the cryptocurrency is in the basement, your CFD is also down. • How high are the commissions?
For crypto currencies, a commission of 0.4% of the trading volume is charged.
  • What does the “c” symbol mean?
The “c” as symbol ending stands for “Commission” (e.g. “EURUSDc”). This means that when trading with symbols ending with “c”, the spread between the bid and ask price is not increased. A trading fee (commission) is charged for this.
  • Where can I find the market letter “Elbblick”?
Our weekly market letter “Elbblick” is only available in German and can be found under the tab “Tools” under “Analyses” or here.
  • Are there any costs involved in opening an account?
No. You can open and manage accounts with GBE brokers free of charge. This applies to both live and demo accounts. However, please remember that demo accounts are closed after 30 days of inactivity. If you hold your trading positions overnight, your positions will incur swap fees based on the currency pair or CFDs you trade.
  • What is the difference between MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5
    (MT5)?

Both platforms are very similar in their basic functions, but there are
    some differences:

    • different number of time levels and indicators
    • different number of order types
    • different programming languages (MQL4, MQL5)
  • Are there any additional costs for depositing?
GBE brokers does not charge any fees or commissions for deposits or withdrawals. Such fees are charged by payment service providers like PayPal, Visa, Neteller etc. Credit card deposits may incur additional fees due to exchange rate differences. These fees are charged by the banks, not by us. For an overview of our deposit and withdrawal methods and the fees involved, please click here.
